Epidote Minerals

Epidote is a silicate mineral. The best and most desirable form of this mineral is found in the form of elongated crystals that are very shiny and interconnected. Its name comes from the Greek word "epidosis" which means "increase". This is because the base is longer on one side than the other. The color of the epidermis is mostly green, but in all different shades and tones, it is very common. Epidote is the most important member of the mineral group.

Epidote has no use as an industrial mineral. It is a product of the hydrolysis of various minerals. A rock composed of quartz and epidote is called an Epidosite. The Epidosite is cut into small pieces of carbon. It is difficult to distinguish the true difference between Epidote and a Clinozoisite. Therefore, samples from certain regions are labeled as Clinozoisite-Epidote.

Epidote is believed to provide spiritual growth in the belief of crystal healers. It is also said to help strengthen one's career. Crystal Healers believes that this will help them to have clear dreams and help them remember those dreams and very restful sleep. In physical healing, the Epidote is a large stone that stimulates the immune system and helps restore physical stimulation.

The Austrian Alps are the largest region in the world where the classic epidote comes from. The crystals there were shiny and very high appears. Some epidote crystals come from Pakistan. The new and richer ones come from the Rasco Mountains in Kharan, Balochistan. In China, the finest wedge-shaped crystals come from Handen in Hebei Province. The most famous and most productive epidural area in the US is Mount Green Monster on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska.
