Diamond Quartz

Diamond Quartz obtained its name from the Greek word "krystallos" which translates to ice and the Saxon word "querklufters" which translates to cross vein ore. It is said that the first discovery of Diamond Quartz dates back to the early 1800's, when it was found by Middleville village settlers. In fact, Quartz is known to be the most abundant mineral due to the earth crust being made up of 12% quartz.

Amongst mineral collectors Diamond Quartz is said to be one of the more popular stones. Diamond Quartz can be found to be either transparent or opaque. It can also be naturally found in a crystalline form as well. Fun fact Diamond Quartz is known to be the official gemstone for the state of Georgia located in the United States. Diamond Quartz is formed over the course of time when seeping ground water ends up getting caught inside Dolomite rocks due to the slightly opened cracks. With the help of both pressure and heat, the Diamond Quartz obtains their shape and become what we see today.

In the metaphysical world, Diamond Quartz is said to have the ability to enhance any spiritual energy as well as the ability to stimulate feelings of ease during uncomfortable situations. It has also been given the name "The Stone of Attunement."
