10K Gold Jewelry
Gold in its purest form is highly malleable and ductile. It is renowned for its bright yellow color, shine and value. Gold has been used and still is used as a form of currency-if your (paper) currency ever crashes it’s good to have a stockpile of gold!
Because of how soft natural gold is, it is commonly mixed with other metals for stability and for style (different metals added can change the color creating different types of gold-rose gold, white gold, etc). Gold purity is measured in karats-10k means it is 10 parts out of 24 parts gold; 14k means it is 14 parts gold out of 24 and so on. Pure gold is 24k and is not very durable for everyday wear but is good for investments and as a keepsake, although it is used in jewelry throughout many eastern countries.
